In the released report, there is an amount that is donated every six months, and this amount, by the end of September, had already surpassed the £2.3 million mark, which had been promised. Compared to last year, the amount received remained the same, even with 360.9% of bookmakers having suffered a lot with the first half of 2020 due to the global pandemic.

That said, the bookmaker Bet365 was the leading contributor to the charity, so the bookmaker donated £4.2 million to GambleAware. As a percentage, Bet365 donated 39.6% of the entire amount pledged to the charitable cause. Shortly thereafter, Entain emerged as the runner-up with £2.0 million in first quarter 2021 donations to GambleAware. However, Entain did not increase the donation amount in the second quarter of this year.

In third place, William Hill appeared with a £1 million donation destined to GambleAware in the first quarter of 2021. But above all, the information is that the biggest sports betting company, Flutter, has pledged to donate, until the year 2023, an amount of £100 million to help troubled players.

It is worth remembering that other operators were present in the report, such as Platinum Gaming (£92,000), Playtech (£51,768), Videoslots (£50,000) and Zecure Gaming (£50,000), White Hat Gaming (£47,230), Star Racing ( £20,720 and £20,720), and Virgin Bet (£16,892 and £17.935).

In addition, there were also additional donations made in the first half of this year. For example, One Click donated £22,801 and STS.Bet donated the amount of £22,000. Despite this, GambleAware reported that in the first half it received more than half of what it received in the year 2020, when it received £19.0 million, with a good part of the companies Flutter and Entain.

Therefore, GambleAware requires companies that profit from the general gambling and gambling market in Great Britain to annually donate 0.1% of their gross income. Operators with an annual revenue of less than £250,000 must donate at least £250.

Bet365 and the San Antonio Spurs

Another great news from the sports bookmaker, Bet365, was the presentation of the partnership with San Antonio Spurs. As Bet365's first agreement with the NBA team, the entities will promote great news for lovers of the biggest basketball league in the world, the NBA.

The San Antonio Spurs club itself introduced the news, when Spurs Sports & Entertainment Revenue Director Frank Miceli commented that the partnership with Bet365 will bring a new vision to the club's fans. In his vision, Miceli reported: "Finding groundbreaking and exciting ways to engage with our fans has long been a priority for our organization, our partnership with bet365 is part of our vision to provide innovative and memorable experiences for Spurs fans everywhere".
